Christmas Story at Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor

Tue, 12/11/2018 - 7:00am

Each year, the Rev. Dr. Sarah Foulger writes a fresh Christmas story based on the traditional scripture lessons of the Advent season. This year, the story, “Waleed and the Magi” tells the story of a camel tender who took care of the camels that belonged to the Magi and who accompanied the Magi on their journey to Bethlehem. This story was inspired by Dr. Foulger's recent trip to Oman with a group from the Congregational Church.

The story will be offered instead of a sermon during the 10 a.m. worship service this Sunday, Dec. 16 at the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor. Foulger, who has written five books, has two published collections of stories for Advent and Christmas: “Yards of Purple” and “O’er All the Weary World.”

Everyone is welcome. The service will live-streamed on BRCTV, Channel 1301, and through the church website.
