Charlie Britton grew up on Southport Island and attended local schools. On Saturday, April 8 he will be Southport Memorial Library’s guest author. Program starts at 2 p.m. with a suggested arrival time of 1:45. During his talk, Britton will discuss the writing and publishing process.
His self-published debut novel, “Eight-Man Cowboy” (under the pen name C.W. Wells), garnered strong reviews and has been a consistent seller on Amazon. Britton was offered a publishing contract for his next novel, “Lonestar,” which will be published on Amazon later this month.
He was one of the country’s leading independent school educators and now serves as an educational consultant.
He still lives on Southport Island with his wife, Jen, director of the Southport Memorial Library.
The library is at 1032 Hendricks Head Road. For more information about more library programming visit https://www.southportlibrary.org and 207-633-2741.
