The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce is delighted to host a Business After Hours to celebrate Colby & Gale’s new Boothbay office. The event will take place at Colby & Gale 654 Wiscasset Road (Route 27), on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Colby & Gale began in 1933 as Etheridge Oil, a small oil company. In 1944, Charlie Gale and Ken Colby joined the company, and two years later they bought the business. In 1947, the business expanded into fuel oil and bottle gas services. In 1957, Colby sold his share to Gale, who ran the business until 1961. The business has had several owners over the past five decades. Matt Poole and Deric Verney own it now. The business sells home heating oil, propane and kerosene and provides heating unit services.
The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours are open to members and non-members, and everyone from the business community is encouraged to participate. Please register to attend by calling the Chamber offices at 633-2353.
