I would like to thank the voters for participating in our democracy and the election workers for making this election go smoothly. I called Mr. Polewarczyk to congratulate him on his win, wish him luck, and offer my support when he serves in the 131st Maine Legislature. I still believe the two party system doesn't adequately represent everyone in our state or country, and perhaps one day we will have a system that better represents everybody.

When I started this campaign I signed the Maine Code of Fair Campaign Practices, which is an oath not to engage in defamation or false attacks, and I'm proud to say my campaign kept it clean. My sincerest thanks to all the wonderful people I met and the lifelong friendships I made during this campaign.

It's been a humbling experience to participate in our democracy, and one I won't soon forget. Our democracy is a beautiful thing, and we must exercise it if we are to keep it. Until next time.
