Bulldogs take down Boothbay

The Madison Bulldogs improved to 5-5 on the season with a 51-23 win over the visiting Boothbay Region Seahawks Saturday, Jan. 10.
The Bulldogs got balanced scoring with Jaelyn Rich leading the way with nine points, followed by Emma Anton with eight, and scoring seven points each were Brookelyn Rich, Leah Herper and Jillian Linkletter.
Eleanor Erwin was Boothbay’s top scorer with 11, followed by Aryana Gray with five.
“We battled for a while,” said Seahawk coach Bruce Orne. “Foul trouble and turnovers have been killing us the last few games.”
Boothbay lost its fifth straight game and is now 4-6 on the season.
The Seahawks are now scheduled to host Maranacook (8-3) on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m.
