Sewer project to start near school entrance

BRHS will be 100% virtual May 3

    Due to a Boothbay Harbor Sewer District project on the sewer lines at the entrance to the school campus, and to support safety, Boothbay Region High School will be 100% distance learning on Monday, May 3, announced BRHS Principal Tricia Campbell today.

    Students are expected to log onto their classes following the regular schedule. Period One begins at 9 a.m.

    Bath Voc will not be impacted and students are expected to attend their programs. Bath Voc transportation is available as usual. Also, AP exams will not be impacted and are scheduled as planned.

    Kyle Canada, director of Security and Safety, said the work will begin between 7:45 and 8 a.m. and Townsend Avenue in front the school will be one-way traffic. He said the work will only impact the school campus on Monday but the project will be continuing down Townsend Avenue and traffic will be slowed until the project is completed.
