Boothbay Region High School art teacher Manon Lewis has been chosen as one of California’s Casualty’s Music Arts Grant recipients for 2021. California Casualty is a national insurance company.

She wrote a proposal for the integrated art course that she and teacher Mary Miller are co-teaching this year and was selected as one of the 144 winners across the country, receiving a $250.00 payout to support the program.

“What a wonderful opportunity for two professional teachers to connect and compliment their backgrounds and offer our students an incredible opportunity and unique learning experience,” wrote BRHS Principal Tricia Campbell.
