On Tuesday, June 9 at 6 p.m., Boothbay Region Elementary School administrators and grades 7-8 staff will hand out promotion certificates to eighth graders who will be in a family car. The cars will drive in front of the school around the bus loop to receive the certificates from staff, then the cars will proceed to the lower parking lot to wait for the Boothbay Harbor Police Department to lead them through downtown Boothbay Harbor for a celebratory parade. Friends, relatives, school staff and others are invited to line the sidewalks to hold signs and wave to BRES eighth graders as they ride through town.

Each part of the event will be recorded and an internet link will be provided so all can watch it later.
