The weeding team will meet at Boothbay Memorial Park on Monday, Oct. 7 at 9 a.m.

The BRGC board meeting will be held at St. Andrews Village in the arts and crafts room on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 10:30 a.m. The general meeting will also be held on Oct. 9 at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church at noon. Following a light lunch served by the Tea Committee. Alice Mutch, landscape expert, will share her tips for enhancing your garden without changing it. Geometry 102 --- Be a square! Flowers for Fun at the October meeting will focus on shape. Bring fresh or dried material in a square or rectangular container that will work as a centerpiece.

Planning ahead

Members are invited to attend the Garden Club Federation of Maine Fall Conference, Augusta Civic Center, 76 Community Drive, Augusta, Maine on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The program will include a presentation on Barth day lilies and a talk by Kevin Leavitt, an organic garden market specialist.

Tuesday, Oct. 15 is the fall conference registration deadline. Register by mail only to Ellen Jackson, 226 Maine St, Farmingdale, ME 04344. Make checks payable to GCFM Fall Conference.
