As of May 1, anyone who donates funds to support our nonprofit community health center by May 31, will have their donation doubled. A group of 20 patients and supporters have raised and pledged up to $50,000 in matching grants.

“We really value having this wonderful, convenient and affordable Community Health Center right here in Boothbay Harbor in the Meadow Mall,” said Maureen Kinsey. “We want to ensure that our Health Center can afford to attract and retain top-notch medical staff.”

Many of these donors are members of the Health Center's groundbreaking research program to reverse Alzheimer's disease. Led by Dr. Allan S. Teel, this Reduce Cognitive Decline lifestyle change program and participatory research study is now in its fourth year, with over 40 local participants. These patients value the special coaching they're receiving to help them stay vital and mentally alert as they age, but they also realize how critical a service it is to have adequate local family health care for everyone in our community. Since opening its doors in 2018, the Health Center has grown from 778 patients to over 3,600, demonstrating the need for easy to access, affordable, primary care on the Boothbay peninsula.
