Please remember that the Boothbay Region Health Center in the Meadow Mall (across from Hannaford) offers same day walk-in service. As you may be aware, the Urgent Care Center on the St. Andrews campus is currently closed because of the need to deploy its staff to other parts of the MaineHealth system, due to COVID-19.

The Boothbay Region Health Center is open six days/week: Mon-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (We will no be open on Wednesday, Dec. 9, due to an inservice day.) You can turn up during our office hours, or, to avoid waiting, call ahead for a slot. Our number is 633-1075. We always have one or two primary care providers on duty and they will make time for you if you or someone in your family has a critical healthcare need. We treat patients of all ages. Kids are welcome, as are teens, men and women, and seniors. If you have a broken bone, or any other condition requiring X-rays, you should go directly to a hospital ER. Of course, if you think you are having a heart attack or are having trouble breathing, call 911. But for non-death-threatening health issues causing pain or discomfort or concern, please remember that we're here for you. For mental health or social work services, we can usually also fit you in with a convenient telehealth visit.

Where to go for local COVID-19 testing

Our Health Center is no longer providing COVID-19 testing. Walgreens now has the contract for local rapid (same day) COVID-19 testing. Call them for a drive thru appointment at 633-7023. Or, if you need a PCR test (which will take two to three days to get results), you can make an appointment for drive thru testing at Miles Memorial. Call them at 563-1234.
