Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club

Tue, 10/26/2021 - 7:30am

We heard from President-Elect Bruce Harris last Thursday. Bruce gave a classification talk in which he described growing up in Florida, where he ultimately attended law school. He told of his love of reading, particularly the classics such as Tolstoy. Classification talks are a great way to learn more about our fellow Rotarians. They are always fun and informative.

Last Sunday we repainted the United States map in the back of the Boothbay Harbor Elementary School. We finally got a dry day to paint after having to postpone last week due to rain. Four Rotarians were joined by a team of six Interact Club members from the High School. The group got to work and had the map completed in a couple of hours. Thanks to all involved!

This Thursday, there will be no speaker or formal program. Friends and family are instead invited to join members to celebrate Halloween! We will feast on a buffet of appetizers prepared by Chef Amy. Costumes are encouraged! Festivities begin around 5:45.
