Amy Herbold, member Jim Herbold’s daughter, spoke with us last Thursday. She described her work as director of development with the American Dream Mall, a retail and entertainment complex in Meadowlands, New Jersey. As the largest mall in the U.S., American Dream Mall looks to be an all-around destination.

Over the last two weeks we have inducted three new Rotary members! Two weeks ago, we inducted Bill Louisignau, who was previously a Rotarian in Massachusetts. This last week we welcomed Greg and Barbara Thornton as new members. All come with great enthusiasm and ready to serve as Rotarians!

Our repainting of the United States map in the back of the elementary school last Sunday had to be delayed due to weather. The current plan is to try again this Sunday when the weather looks much more agreeable.

This Thursday we will hear from president-elect Bruce Harris. Bruce will deliver a “classification talk” where members discuss their background and what led them to Rotary. It’s a great way to get to know our fellow Rotarians. We will enjoy drinks and appetizers on the deck beginning before 6 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:30.
