Afternoon Tea with DaPonte and Tea Bags, Too

Come enjoy the Queen’s Tea with savory sandwiches and delectable sweets, and listen to an annotated classical concert! It’s almost time for Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library’s coveted valentine fundraiser, “Afternoon Tea with the DaPonte String Quartet,” Feb. 13, 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the Bigelow Lab for Ocean Sciences in East Boothbay. Tickets are now on sale at the library and at the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce through the extended date of Feb. 6, for only $25 per ticket, so get yours quickly before it’s too late and bring a friend or family member!

The Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library is pleased to announce that it now has its very own limited edition Tea, “First Edition Tea,” produced by Mary Norwood’s Merry Auld Tea Company. This specialty tea is a lovely blend of black, rose petal, and hibiscus tea, and is available just in time for the spring season and upcoming Mother’s Day. It will be sold at the Afternoon DaPonte Tea event, participating local businesses, and at the library after the event, for $12 per bag, in a beautiful 4-ounce labeled gold pouch. In this way, the library’s single fundraising event has been pleasantly extended, for only as long as the limited tea is available, benefiting the library, the Merry Auld Tea Company, and local businesses, who wish to carry the specialty tea in their stores. The library’s “First Edition Tea” may be purchased after the February 13 event at the library, Wanser’s Market, Mama D’s Café, and Oak Street Provisions. If your business would like to help support the library and carry the “First Edition Tea” in your store, please contact Bonnie at bginger@roadrunner.com.

Get your tickets and “First Edition Tea” while available; they won’t last long. For more information, call the library at 633-3112 or visit our website www.bmpl.lib.me.us, or Face Book page.
