The Boothbay Region High School varsity boys basketball team lost to the Carrabec Cobras, 72-46, at the Capital City Classic at the August Civic Center Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 28. The game was a regular season Class C contest.

The Seahawks fell behind early, trailing by 12 after the first quarter and by 15 at the half. A cold-shooting third quarter saw them going into the final eight minutes down by 24 points.

The loss evened Boothbay’s record to 1-1 while Carrabec improved to 4-1.

Boothbay hosts Lisbon today, Dec. 29, at 2:30 p.m.
