UPDATE: State determines Bremen man drowned

    UPDATE: The Maine Department of Marine Resources released this statement Wednesday afternoon about the body recovered in Greenland Cove on Monday:

    The Maine Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that the body ... is that of 63-year-old Glenn Murdoch of Bremen. The cause of death has been ruled a drowning.

    The Maine Marine Patrol has recovered the body of a deceased male found Monday morning, Aug. 19 at approximately 11 a.m. by a commercial fishing vessel in Greenland Cove, near Bremen. The body has been transported to the Medical Examiner's Office for identification.

    The Marine Patrol had been searching Round Pond Harbor, nearly two nautical miles south of the body’s location, since last Monday, Aug. 12 for 63-year-old Glenn Murdoch of Bremen.

    Murdoch was reported missing last Monday night at 9:30 p.m. after his skiff was found adrift in the harbor where his boat, an 18-foot aluminum Starcraft was moored.
