Arthur Miller classic comes to the Lincoln Theater
Arthur Miller’s searing American classic “All My Sons” comes to the big screen at Lincoln Theater June 4 and 5 as part of the acclaimed National Theatre Live series. Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad") and Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Hard Truths) feature in this five-star, triumphantly acclaimed new production of Arthur Miller’s classic play, from visionary director Ivo Van Hove (A View from the Bridge).
Widely considered one of Miller’s greatest works, “All My Sons” explores the cost of the American dream through the story of businessman Joe Keller. When wartime delivers profits for Joe, it comes at a price when his partner is charged with criminal manufacturing deals, and his eldest son goes missing in action. Will peacetime bring peace of mind, or will he be confronted by the consequence of his actions?
National Theatre Live’s production of All My Sons was a major success at the prestigious Laurence Olivier Awards, earning two top honors from six major nominations. Arthur Miller’s powerful, and disturbingly prescient, drama won Best Play Revival, while Paapa Essiedu received the award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his incredible performance as Chris Keller, the idealistic 32-year-old son. The production’s sweeping recognition further cemented its reputation as one of the standout theatrical events of the season earning widespread critical acclaim with praise for its powerful performances and timely themes.
