Dear Editor:

For the eighth straight year, I am happy to announce the success of the No Excuses program. Once again, there were no alcohol-related accidents or OUI arrests in the Boothbay region during New Year’s Eve.

I would like to thank all of the amazing sponsors that made No Excuses 2018 possible: Boat House Bistro, Brady’s, China By The Sea, McSeagull’s Pier One Pizza, Robinson’s Wharf, The Thistle Inn, The Watershed Tavern/Boothbay Craft Brewery and Valley Distributors (formerly Federal Distributors). The unmatched effort and participation of these local establishments provides a level of appreciation, respect, and safety for their patrons and the community as a whole.

I would also like to thank my awesome drivers, their participation, and their commitment to keeping the community safe is beyond compare.
