When you enter the YMCA into the new lobby on Nov. 21, the Tree of Giving will be set up and decorated with gift tags bearing family wishes for the holiday season. The neighborhood churches, social workers, counselors, and schools deliver the wishes to the Y wrapped in colorful paper and bags for the Y staff to distribute to the families.

The Y invites community members and organizations to stop by, select tags from the tree, buy the items, wrap them, and then bring the wrapped items and tags back to the Y by Friday, Dec. 9.

The YMCA is currently collecting wishes. A simple form must be filled out with the information of age, gender, size, and one need and one wish per child. Applications can also be found online at boothbayregionymca.org/treeofgiving as well as in our new Main Lobby at the front desk.

Gift applications are due Nov. 14.
