Starting on Tuesday, June 2, all books in the adult mystery and sci-fi and fantasy sections at the Skidompha Secondhand Book Shop will be on sale at half price. The sale will last through Tuesday, June 16.

Rosie Bensen, co-manager of the shop, said, “Generous donors have recently given us many books in these categories. This half-price sale is a great opportunity for fans of these genres to stock up on their summer reading.”

The book shop, located at 17 Backstreet Landing on the river in downtown Damariscotta, is now open for its special summer hours, every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

The shop is a major source of funding for Skidompha Public Library, selling donated books; music records and CDs; movies on DVD; and games and puzzles. All staff members are volunteers, and every purchase supports the library’s collections and activities.
