Grand March has been part of Boothbay Region High School’s graduation ceremonies for over 100 years. In the early days of Grand March history the town would gather at the Opera House to watch the senior class lead the other three in the elaborate march sequence. Then, as today, the floor would turn to honor the parents of those graduating. In the years to come, the senior class would distinguish itself by dressing in all white and, as the numbers in the school grew, the ceremony would be completed by only the senior class.
The tradition has held strong and, like classes before them, the Class of 2019 gathered to complete yet another Grand March.
