10th annual Gifts For Giving is two weekends

Now that November’s chill is upon us, we can no longer deny the early winter season is upon us. And you know what that means: It’s time to start thinking about the upcoming holiday season and ... shopping!

If you’re looking for something unique, whether it be warm clothing, books, art, pottery, stained glass, Christmas ornaments, notecards, jewelry, or ceramics … you’ll want to check out the 10th annual Gifts for Giving event at Studio 53, home to some of the best art in Boothbay Harbor.

This year’s Gifts For Giving will span two weekends: Nov. 21-24 and Nov. 29 through Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., as it was during the early years of the event.

The entire first floor of the gallery will be filled with enticements by this year’s artists, artisans and authors ... Elise Andersen, Andersen Studio: Hand-crafted artwork in ceramic, fiber, paintings and prints; Heather Atwood: Jewelry; H. A gala reception will be held Friday, Nov. 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Early Bird & PJ Day (Nov. 23) shopping hours will be 7-10 a.m.

And while you’re there, visit the second and third floors of Studio 53 and experience the fine artwork of its artists: gallery owners Heidi Seidelhuber and Terry Seaman, Bob McKay, Tony van Hasselt, Don Josephson, John Silverio, David Estey, Jaap Eduard Helder, David Dupree, Dick Alden, Nancy Wilkoff, Gerry Immonen, Nancy Barron and Ida Schmolowitz. In addition to Nancy Wilkoff, there are retrospectives of H. Lane Smith and the late Robert Hamilton.
