Strachan Promoted to Executive Vice President at Cheney Insurance

Company owner Dennis Hilton announced recently that Suzanne Strachan, an employee at Cheney Insurance since 2011, has been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President. Strachan was originally hired as a part-time social media coordinator for the agency and her sister companies and has steadily assumed additional responsibilities since joining the company.
She has been the manager of the Personal Insurance and Support teams for over 18 months, and with this promotion Strachan is now responsible for overseeing all of the day-to-day business operations for the agency. “I am thrilled to take on this new role,” said Suzanne. “Our staff takes their work seriously as we help clients with their important insurance needs, and I am excited to be in a position to support their efforts as we serve our customers.”
“During her relatively short time here, Suzanne has proven herself to be a very capable leader with a keen sense about business and people,” says Dennis Hilton, who also owns Newcastle Realty and Newcastle Vacation Rentals, which along with Cheney Insurance, comprises the Cheney Financial Group. “Through her dedication and hard work, Suzanne has earned her rightful place in our leadership structure and I am extremely confident in her ability to run this company.”
Among her many functions, Strachan is responsible for overall employee relations, the technology infrastructure serving all three companies, insurance company partnerships, marketing, and attracting and evaluating potential talent. Hilton continued, “Suzanne is a smart, progressive thinker with interesting ideas who is deeply vested in the well-being of our staff.
