Many people in town will recognize the name Virginia Forrest. Virginia taught in the Wiscasset School system and is a talented artist. She is also a member of Friends of Wiscasset Public Library (FoWPL).

Friends of Wiscasset Public Library is an organization whose members volunteer to raise funds, support programs and work in the Library. The support of FoWPL is invaluable. Friends have generously given their time to run Second-Hand Prose Used Book Room and helped to fund the Summer Reading Program for children, adult programs, lighting efficiency upgrades, and so much more.

In the past few years, Virginia has donated both original painting and prints of her work to the Library to sell or auction. They have been a very popular part of the Friends Holiday sale.

Virginia is donating again this year. Her art is showing at the Wiscasset Public Library near the adult circulation area. All pieces are priced as marked and all proceeds will go to the FoWPL, directly benefit Wiscasset Public library.
