Jazz Babies at The Lincoln Home August 18

On Wednesday, August 18, The Lincoln Home is hosting the second of three concerts in their Summer Music Series on the shore of the Damariscotta River. Orville Lee, incredibly talented singer and songwriter, will be the opening act starting at 5 p.m. The Jazz Babies will perform from 6 - 8 p.m. Fresh oysters along with savory offerings from Blazing Tomato Woodfired Pizza and Mr. Ribs BBQ & Grill will be available for purchase starting at 5:00 p.m. Stone Cove Catering will be on site with Sadie the Bar Car selling craft beer, wine, and soft drinks. Bring your lawn chair or blanket! (No coolers allowed.)

The Jazz Babies co-founded by brothers Bob Page (on piano) and Big Dave (on drums) over 40 years ago. T.J. Wheeler on guitar; Barney Balch on trombone; Lefty McCauslin, on saxophone and Jack Tukey on bass. Bob Page has has lived and worked in Atlanta as a professional musician for over 30 years. He has performed around Europe and the U.S., including with big names like Chuck Berry and The Georgia Satellites.

Celebrate summer, community, great music, good food and dancing on The Lincoln Home field overlooking the river. Next up is Art Under the Tent, Orville Lee, The Oyster Creek Fiddlers and Sandy River Ramblers on Sunday, September 12, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Tickets are $20 PP or $50 for family of 4 and are available through the website, www.lincoln-home.org on the Special Events page, or by calling The Lincoln Home at 563-3350. Tickets are also available at The Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce office, 67a Main St, Newcastle or Main Street Grocery, 5 Coastal Marketplace, Damariscotta. All proceeds support The Lincoln County Resident Endowment fund. The Lincoln Home is the one of the last free-standing, not-for-profit senior care communities in Maine, and receives no federal or state dollars.
