ENHANCE® FITNESS
Program structure
- A 5-minute warm-up to get the blood flowing to the muscles
- A 20-minute aerobics workout that gets participants moving, or a walking workout to lively music that the class chooses
- A 5-minute cool-down
- A 20-minute strength training workout with soft ankle and wrist weights (0 up to 20 pounds)
- A 10-minute stretching workout to keep the muscles flexible
Program information
Enhance®Fitness is an evidence-based group exercise program developed by Sound Generations, Inc. that uses simple, easy-to-learn movements that motivate older adults to stay active throughout their lives. The CDC has recommended Enhance®Fitness as an effective arthritis management intervention, and the Y’s Enhance®Fitness program is geared toward supporting those who struggle with arthritis, but the program may be suitable for any older adult.
Days:MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY 10:15 AM-11:15 AM
Session Dates: November 18 — March 6 (No classes 11/27, 11/29 and 12/23, 12/25, 12/27, 12/30,1/1, 1/3)
Fee: $40 per 16-week session
