The dark wonder of the Wee Folk

You walk by it a thousand times in a lifetime: a mossy rock, an upended tree with its network of gnarled exposed roots and root-choked trail that looks like it’s straight out of Pet Sematary.

This is the territory of the Wee Folk, those tiny Irish fairies who have lived underground, in the woods and in trees for centuries.

I like to think the coast of Maine and Canada and Ireland, the Tectonic plates that once formed a supercontinent, were the stepping stone for the Wee Folk to come to North America.

My tiny dresses are a tribute to them and the beauty of Irish folklore.
