Called “The Carter Family for the millennial generation” by the Boston Globe, Damn Tall Buildings is a tight, harmonizing, swinging trio that specializes in bluegrass but blends in jazz, ragtime, country swing, and contemporary singer-songwriter styles. Guitarist/lead vocalist Max Capistran, bassist/lead vocalist Sasha Dubyk, and fiddler/vocalist Avery Ballotta share lead vocals and instrumental solos, and blend their voices into joyous harmony. Anchoring their captivating, high energy sound is their instrumental chops and their strong songwriting; their lyrics strive to find beauty and glory in the mundane, workaday struggle of everyday life.
