Join us on the library lawn to hear author Gerry Hawes discuss his book, The Albatross.

As a boy, Gerry Hawes dreamed that he would someday fly a plane. And he achieved his goal, first in the Air Force and later in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Subsequently he piloted commercial planes. Gerry spent 50 years roaming the skies — his passion for flying is evident in in his novel, The Albatross.
