Southport Holiday Concert

Southport Central School students performed 16 songs during their annual Holiday Concert at Southport Town Hall Tuesday, Dec. 13.

The 45-minute concert, under the direction of music teacher Scott Ogden, featured the pre-K through grade six students playing bells, guitars, piano, saxophones, violins and ukuleles. A few songs were performed a Capella. The loudest cheers were given to Eric Maki for his two piano pieces. The audience, as always, was asked to join the students in singing the final two songs, "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."

The students, as listed in the program, included: Teal Beavis, Azalea Bennett, Maeve Cullina, Ronan Cullina, Andrew Fowlie, Rafael Goldhirsch, Finn Harkins, Sarah Harris, Garrett Hurst, Eric Maki, Robert Shaw, Corey Sherman, Brian Abbe, Lilly Burnham, Alex Heil, Harrison Hinckley, Cameron Payson, Ella Watts, Madisyn Thiboutot, Makayla Abbe, Haiden Blackman, McKinlee Madden, Silas Kaler, Liam Scott, Stella Stevens, Jesse Ullo, Ford Harris, Mabel Kaler and Kayla Watts.
