The Boothbay Region YMCA is the place to be on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, Feb. 14. The local Y is open free to the public from 1 to 5 p.m. The Y staff is encouraging the public to participate in  an afternoon full of activities.

The Y is hosting the following events: inflatable bounce house, 1 to 3 p.m.; walking on the indoor track, 1 to  5 p.m.; kids craft table, 2 to 4 p.m.; concessions and silent auction, 2 to 4 p.m.; and family cardio tennis, 3 to 4 p.m.

Also being held Feb. 14 is the second annual Aqua-Thon, a fundraiser for the Y Dolphins swim team. The team will be in the pool from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. The Y encourages the public to come and cheer the swimmers or join them in the fun.

The Y is open for free to the community on the second Sunday of the month from January to May 2016. The Y is located at 261 Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor.
