Worst of men

Tue, 11/22/2016 - 8:30am

    Dear Editor:

Over the past six years, the Republicans have had control of the House and Senate. Although there a number of jobs bills, and other bills that would have helped the middle class on Speaker Ryan's desk, he has refused to bring them to the floor for a vote. The Republicans in Congress have said no to everything Obama and Democrat, or anything that would have helped the middle class. As a result, the Congress has a 23 percent approval rating and is known as a "do nothing Congress." Therefore, they should own it.

So someone help me out here. How is it that so many Republicans have been voted back to Congress? These are the very people who created the income gap in the first place. How is it that we now have a president-elect who has offended a Gold Star Family, has bragged about committing sexual assault, and does not pay small businesses what is owed to them forcing some to go out of business. He uses other people's money for charity claiming that it is his own, and is being sued for fraud over Trump University. He purchased a painting of himself, paid a fine and made a political contribution with his charitable foundation's money which was not his, or legal. He has no knowledge of domestic policy or world affairs, is a narcissist, misogynist, xenophobe, bigoted bully and pathological liar, with the emotional stability of an 8-year-old spoiled rotten brat. He has done absolutely no public service throughout his life, lacks anything that resembles human greatness, and the list goes on and on.

What kind of country are we when we elect someone like this? How can we as a people hate so much? Hillary was not perfect, but using a private server and missing a couple classified email out of more than thirty thousand does not even come close to all the horrible things that Trump has done. He is truly the "worst of men."
