Wiscasset Police Blotter March 26-April 8

Chief Jeff Lange reported the following activity between March 26 and April 8:

Arrests

On March 29, David Cunningham, 37, of Bath was arrested for Eluding an Officer and Driving to Endanger.

On April 6, Michael Mellin, 64, of Wiscasset was arrested for Operating Under the Influence (alcohol) with one prior.

Accidents

On March 27, a car versus deer accident took place near Big Al's.

On April 3, a car driven by Chad Breton, 37, of Wiscasset, struck Bernard Koehling, 82, of Wiscasset. Koehling suffered life-threatening injuries and is currently in ICU at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

From March 26-April 8, there were 148 property checks. There were 78 other calls for service including 25 vehicle or traffic-related ones and five calls for community policing, including a Coffee with a Cop event at Treats. Police investigated one complaint of theft, three cases of harassment or threatening, four cases of suspicious activity, four false burglar alarms, assisted other agencies four times, responded to three medical emergencies, investigated two complaints of criminal mischief, assisted citizens or performed welfare or pedestrian checks six times, investigated an animal complaint and a missing person, and three trespassing complaints.
