Chief Jeff Lange reports the following activity for the week of Jan. 22 - 28:
Sunday, Jan. 22
Police responded to a domestic disturbance in which they assisted Waldoboro Police Department in Waldoboro; issued a warning for failure to stop at a stop sign; and sought a vehicle driving erratically but transferred the case to Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department.
Monday, Jan. 23
Police issued six warnings for speed; one warning for speed and inspection; and one warning for speed and insurance; assisted with a sex offender registration; stopped a vehicle which was being driven erratically from driver fatigue; responded to a burglar alarm on Bath Road; and sought a vehicle reportedly driving erratically from Sagadahoc County.
Tuesday, Jan. 24
Police responded to a parking issue in which a vehicle was half in and out of the roadway in the snowstorm; responded to a motor vehicle accident, in which Lori Tyler, 52, of Wiscasset drove off the road in the storm, no injuries; responded to a disabled motor vehicle out of gas; responded to a complaint of criminal mischief; performed a welfare check on Birch Point Road; issued a motor vehicle warning; investigated an unattended death; responded to a burglar alarm; assisted another agency by delivering a food voucher to a citizen; and responded to a report of a missing person; the child was located.
Thursday, Jan. 26
Police responded to an accident on Bath Road. Doreen Beaulieu, 50, of Brunswick was traveling north, lost control on the ice and struck a tree.
Police responded to a burglar alarm tripped in error; responded to a non-reportable accident on Federal Street; responded to an accident at I&S Insulation where a truck struck the building; responded to a complaint of threatening on Birch Point Road; responded to an accident on Mountain Road where the vehicle left the scene; attempted to locate an individual who no longer lives at the given address; and arrested Cainin Griffin, 20, of Wiscasset for Violation of Bail Conditions and transported him to Two Bridges Regional Jail.
Friday, Jan. 27
Police issued four warnings for speed; responded to suspicious activity on Fore Street; responded to a complaint of trespassing on Bath Road; and acted on police information to make contact with a driver and advised the person to get some sleep.
Saturday, Jan. 28
Police responded to a disabled motor vehicle on Bath Road; performed a compliance check on an inmate per court order; issued a warning for operation on Bradford Road; sought a vehicle for erratic operations but were unable to locate; issued three warnings for speed; two warnings for defective tail lights; one warning for defective headlight; and one warning for failure to dim headlights; responded to two burglar alarms; responded to two cases of suspicious activity; removed debris in the roadway on Rumerill Road; located an individual on Outback Road; investigated a case of harassment on Summer Street; and issued a summons to John Lynons, 25, of Bowdoinham for operating after suspension.
