Students at Boothbay Region High School are continuing to raise money and food as part of the WGME School Spirit Challenge, which goes to support the Good Shepard Food Bank and our local food pantry. The latest fundraiser is a Seahawk quilt raffle.

The quilt was handmade by Lynn Welch, BRHS Principal Dan Welch’s mother. Tickets are $2 each or 10 for $8.

They can be purchased at the BRHS office or at Hawke Motors on Townsend Avenue.

“I’m asking Santa for one of these in my stocking this year,” Welch said.

On Feb. 27, WGME-TV Channel 13 will be at the school at 6 a.m. for the pep rally where students and faculty will show off their school spirit and show how much they raised for the challenge.
