We're so blessed

    Dear Editor:

Last night, Lincoln Arts Festival raised over $400 for Boothbay Region Community Services. (I’m referring to our showing of “Little Shop of Horrors” at the Harbor Theatre. There was food, fun, very cool music, and a man-eating plant named Audrey II. What more do you need for a grand evening?)

We owe thanks to so many people: first of all, to Jason Sheckley and the Harbor Theatre for making it all work; to Boothbay Family Dentistry, Damariscotta Dental and Wiscasset Dental for their generous for the “goody” bags; kudos to the two anonymous donors who covered the cost of the film rights and the venue rental; to The Lincoln Arts Festival board members who provided refreshments and the mystery seeds for the “goody” bags (who knows, some lucky moviegoer may discover their own “Audrey II” in the garden); and, finally, to our amazing coordinator, Lynn Thompson, who pulled all the pieces together. Wow.

In other words, we all had fun, and did a good thing at the same time. That happens a lot on this peninsula. Aren’t we all so blessed?
