“Birdman,” or “The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance,” stars Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts and Andrea Riseborough. This dark comedy tells the story of a former movie superhero, Riggan Thomson (Keaton), who is producing an ambitious Broadway production that he hopes will breathe new life into his stagnant career.

It's risky, but he hopes his creative gamble will prove that he's a real artist and not just a washed-up movie star. As opening night approaches, a cast mate is injured, forcing Riggan to hire an actor (Norton) who is guaranteed to shake things up.

Reviewing the film for Forbes Magazine, Scott Mendelson wrote, “'Birdman' is one of the best films of the year, and Michael Keaton gives one of the best performances of 2014. The film is the best of both worlds; thematically rich and nuanced while filled with genuine, and often jaw-dropping, cinematic cleverness. 'Birdman' is so good that it’s quality is downright thrilling.”
