    Dear Editor:

The St. Andrews Auxiliary wishes to thank all its members for a 2014 filled with fun, hard work and commitment to the community. We invite all in the Boothbay region to join our ranks for year 2015!

The auxiliary is an organization with a long standing history of caring about the welfare of friends and neighbors on the Boothbay peninsula.

Membership in the auxiliary has always offered many intrinsic benefits for our active volunteers and supporters who renew their commitment yearly to assist the community through our various service opportunities.

There are also some extrinsic benefits to membership, which include two lovely luncheons hosted by St. Andrews Village, the annual meeting in October, and the Winter/Spring Brunch that we added last year.

In addition we publish three newsletters every year as well as a yearbook which provides a hand, up to date directory of our membership.

This year the board voted to add another wonderful membership benefit: Our annual Spring Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, which will be held in June 2015 at the beautiful{ Newagen Seaside Inn; and will be free of charge for all members in good standing.

An associate membership, open to those persons unable to give of their time but who support the precepts of the organization, is $20 per annum.

Active membership, for those who are willing and able to volunteer in some capacity, is $15 per annum.

Research shows that giving is good for you; and, in the words of the Italian writer-philosopher, Luciano de Crescenzo: “We are all like one-winged angels. It is only when we help each other that we can fly.

Contact Carole Zalucky at 207-633-0846 or Penny Thumith at 207-633- 6168 for further information; or stop by the St. Andrews Thrift Shop to pick up an application for membership.
