Dear Editor:

I am going to vote for Stephanie Hawke to represent District 89 in our state legislature. Why? Because in my belief she is the best candidate for the job. Secondly, in my belief, far too much party politics is dominating our national, state and local governments.

This decision is made as a lifelong Democrat, but enough is enough. I will vote for the other candidates on Democrat ticket. Gridlock is not good for our country.

Back to Stephanie — I do not agree with all her positions on issues important to me — especially minimum wage and the Affordable Health Care Act. However, I believe and hope when faced with those decision, she will vote for the welfare of her constituents. I hope so. Let's all vote in November, it is important.
