Dear Editor:
According to the town’s website, the responsibilities of the Boothbay Selectmen include: “management of the Town finances, protecting the health, safety and welfare of the residents in accordance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, management of public property and personnel, and management of contracts and relations with other State and local agencies and the public.”

This is a huge, taxing, time consuming, and often thankless job. On May 7, I will be voting to reelect Steve Lewis and Dale Harmon to the board of selectmen. They have not only demonstrated that they can effectively fulfill the vast responsibilities of the position, but they do so with impressive grace, thoughtfulness, patience, and compassion. I admire and am grateful for their willingness to continue to serve our community in this vital way.

I hope you will join me in supporting Steve Lewis and Dale Harmon as they seek to continue their roles as dedicated public servants to the town of Boothbay. Thank you.
