Sat, 08/30/2014 - 10:00am

Vehicles are sought for the upcoming “Touch-a-Truck” at the Wiscasset Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The event seeks antique cars, construction, emergency or any unique vehicles. There is no charge to register a vehicle for the event.

Touch-a-Truck features dozens of vehicles for kids to explore. In addition, there will be a DJ, a barbecue lunch by Hannaford, a kids crafting area, a touch tank from the Maine State Aquarium, a performance by the Renys Rockets and a special appearance by the Miles Moose.

All proceeds from Touch a Truck go to the Maine Chapter of the March of Dimes, whose mission is to end prematurity, birth defects and infant mortality, and to Coastal Kids Preschool in Damariscotta, who provide a high quality, inclusive, developmentally appropriate program for preschool age children in Lincoln County.

Touch-a-Truck is sponsored by Harvard Pilgrim and Hannaford and presented by Cheney Financial Services, Northeast Security and  Renys, and is sponsored by the Wiscasset Speedway,  Atlantic Motorcar, Newcastle Chrysler, Clark Farms, The Kidz Closet, The Animal House, Norm’s Used Cars,  Miles Memorial-LincolnHealth and Origami Owl.
