'Trunk or Treat' annual tradition at Baptist Church

Sun, 10/16/2016 - 8:45am

After the Memorial Library’s Halloween parade through Boothbay Harbor, community children and their families are invited once again to swing on over to “Trunk or Treat” at Boothbay Baptist Church on Monday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m.

This popular event allows costumed kids to do their trick-or-treating in a safe and controlled environment, going from trunk to trunk of vehicles parked in the upper parking lot of the church, located across from the Boothbay Common. The trunks will be creatively decorated in a variety of themes friendly to young children.

This free event also features a bounce house, face painting, kids’ barrel ride on the field, an appearance by the Boothbay Fire Department, complimentary hot dogs, and more.

Those who attend are asked to enter on Chapel Street and park in the church’s lower parking lot. For more information, call the church office, 633-7378, weekday mornings.
