At approximately 5 p.m., Tuesday, July 28, a truck operated by Dylan Geyer of Boothbay left the roadway and drove into a house on Route 27 in Boothbay Harbor near Hammond Lumber and the Boothbay Region YMCA.

No injuries have been reported. Boothbay Region Ambulance Service, Boothbay Harbor police and fire departments responded to the scene.

Traffic slowed but was not stopped as of 5:26 p.m.

Boothbay Harbor Police Officer Nicholas Upham said Wednesday morning that Geyer was trying to avoid an animal and lost control.
