Tremendous support of film premiere

Fri, 09/23/2016 - 7:30am

    Dear Editor:

The production staff at Boothbay Region Community Television would like to extend a big thank you to the community for their tremendous support at the premiere of “Walking Home" on Sept. 8.

First, a big thank you is due to Jason Sheckley of the Harbor Theatre and Jim Jarvis of Camden National Bank for providing the perfect venues to celebrate and premiere the film.

The premiere event could not have happened without Michelle Amero, who coordinated the event and the decorations, and for the Knickerbocker Group’s Property Management team of Jeromey House and Ted Nelson, and Tom Cornell from Seaside Perennial Gardens for picking up the evergreen trees from Conley’s Garden Center and Boothbay Region Greenhouses. By sunset, the parking lot had been transformed into a lavish Appalachian soiree.

All the hard work organizing the event from behind-the-scenes was made possible by BRCTV treasurer Anya Heyl, Michelle Amero, Sally Bullard, Savannah Simmons-Grover, Dick Reid, Lori Reynolds, Tom Dewey and Desiree Scorcia.

We extend many thanks to our event sponsors for the support, especially Ralph Smith from Mine Oyster who generously set up the beverage bar. We thank Camden National Bank, Harbor Theatre, Conley’s Garden Center, Boothbay Region Greenhouses, East Boothbay General Store, Little Village Bistro, Mine Oyster, A Maine Wedding, Wannawaf, Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library, Coastal Maine Popcorn, Harborside Tavern and Boothbay Harbor Fest.

It’s with great excitement that we can share this locally made film with our community first. We look forward to screening both parts of Walking Home later this fall. More details to come, so stay tuned to BRCTV.
