Theresa I. Farmer

Theresa Irene Farmer, 47, died unexpectedly on Dec. 19, 2014 at her home in Trevett.

She was born Sept. 29, 1967 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, to Kenneth E. Brown and Diana M. Cote. Theresa grew up in Greenfield, Massachusetts, where she attended local public schools.

Theresa and her husband, Terence Farmer, were residents of Boothbay Harbor since 1997 and moved to Barters Island in 2012.

She was a popular, longtime employee at the Greenleaf Inn and Admirals Quarters, a Boothbay Harbor bed-and-breakfast, and at area retail establishments including the Boothbay Harbor Rite Aid. Theresa’s family is grateful for expressions of sympathy from regular Greenleaf Inn guests with whom she maintained firm friendships.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Terence; her sisters, Michelle O’Brien and Lindsay Olson; and a brother, Eric Brown.

She is survived by: a stepson, Timothy Farmer of Northfield, Massachusetts, a stepdaughter, Megan Farmer of Waltham, Massachusetts; sisters, Sharon Brown of Conway, Massachusetts, Tammy Wydra of Gastonia, North Carolina, Jodi Perkins of Wardsboro, Vermont, and Deanna Cummings of Clearwater, Florida; brothers, Tony Brown Sr. of Mineral, Virginia, Andy Brown of Bumpass, Virginia and Taz Lee of Gastonia, North Carolina; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and one great-grandnephew.

A memorial service to celebrate Theresa’s life is planned for May 2015.
