Dear Editor:

During the Christmas season we were greeted with music at every turn by our children and grandchildren in the Y-Arts programs. Kiddie Choir at the Opera House, Singathon on Channel 7, the Arts for All performance in the Field House, another concert at the Congo Church — all led by our hugely talented Y-Arts and Humanities Director Emily Mirable.

What a blessing to have Emily in our community. She is a fabulous singer and director, but more importantly, she has such a warm heart and great empathy with the kids that she makes everyone she works with shine like a star.

Thank you, Emily, for being such an asset to our community, and for all you do for our children. You are our shiniest star.
