Terence S. Farmer

Terence Scott Farmer, 50, died unexpectedly at his home in Trevett on February 20, 2014.

He was born March 19, 1963 in New York City to Lyman Gene Farmer and Enid Coffer Farmer. Terry grew up in New York City, Ithaca, N.Y., and Lexington, Mass., where he graduated from high school. He attended St. Marks College.

Terry owned Treescapes Landscaping and also took care of several cottages in the area. He previously worked at Grover’s Hardware store for many years. Terry was well known as a smart, loving and giving person. He also enjoyed traveling.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Navy Lt. Tristram Farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Brown Farmer of Trevett; son, Timothy Farmer of Massachusetts; daughter, Megan Farmer of Massachusetts; brother, Thomas Farmer of Seattle, Wash.; half-brother, Jeff Farmer, and half-sister, Michele Waltz, both of California; several uncles in England and cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate Terry’s life will be held at St. Columba’s Episcopal Church, Emery Lane, Boothbay Harbor on Saturday, March 15 at 1 p.m.
