Tai-chi at St. Andrews center
Tai-Chi Tuesday classes are being held at the St. Andrews Wellness & Rehabilitation Center in Boothbay Harbor.
It is exciting to announce the inclusion of the popular community wellness program called the Tai-Chi Therapy Experience.
The Tai-Chi Therapy Experience is ideal for:
- Professionals and staff: to deescalate the adverse affects of stress
- Students: to calm, coordinate and center their attention for improvements in academics and athletics
- Parents: to decompress from a busy day of challenges (finding calm in the midst of chaos)
- Ambulatory and sedentary participants
- Assistance for prevention of and rehabilitation from injury
With enthusiastic responses, the Tai-Chi Therapy Experience has been shared with numerous Maine-based groups, like Lincoln County Adult Education-Damariscotta; Parkinson’s Disease Support Group-Miles Hospital, Damariscotta; Livestrong Cancer Survivor’s Support Group-Boothbay YMCA; Newagen Inn & Seaside Village, Southport Island (seminars for guests, visitors and community members); Boothbay Region Greenhouses: “Healthy Gardener-Healthy Gardening” program
