Dear Editor:

Our group, Kwiltz 4 Kidz, just had a very successful show and sale at the Boothbay Region YMCA during Windjammer Days. We wish to thank Meagan Hamblett and the Y staff who make this possible. All proceeds from this sale goes toward the purchase of fabric, batting, thread and supplies needed to make the quilts.

We make quilts to give away to children and adults who are going through a crisis, such as cancer treatment, death of a family member, house fire or severe illness. During the past eight years, hundreds of quilts have been distributed to local people, Healthy Kids, Project Linus and the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital. Also we have made and sent dresses to Haiti and Africa and we were asked to make a special quilt for one of the Sandy Hook families in Connecticut.

Thanks to all those folks who purchased quilts at our sale, we greatly appreciate it!
