St. Giles Jefferson schedules free supper Feb. 13

Thu, 02/04/2016 - 12:00pm

St. Giles' Episcopal Church on Route 126 in Jefferson will host its next free supper for Midcoast residents Saturday, Feb. 13 at 5 p.m.

Getting through winters in Maine is a challenge for many of us, and St. Giles' response this year is to offer free suppers one Saturday per month January through March. All are invited for simple, hearty fare that is served in the parish hall. No reservations are needed. Featured on Feb. 13 will be a traditional Maine Saturday night supper of baked beans and franks, with coleslaw, biscuits and cornbread and a dessert.

If you could use a hot meal, consider yourself invited and please let others in the community know of these suppers. The final supper of the season is scheduled for Saturday, March 12.

St. Giles is located on Route 126, the Gardiner Road, one-quarter mile west of the intersection of 126 and Route 213, the Bunker Hill Road.
